From its establishment as a subsea consulting company in 1990, founded on the
provision of quality services combined with a team of highly experienced personnel
with knowledge of deepwater operations worldwide, Technocean has completed projects
with the majority of the oil and subsea contracting companies in the Middle East,
Asia Pacific, Latin America and in the North Sea sector.
In 2006, GC Rieber Shipping ASA based in Bergen, Norway became a major shareholder in Technocean thus prompting
the expansion into a marine and ROV Intervention operations. |

GC Rieber Shipping is an integrated shipping company which develops, owns and
operates vessels for selected niches within offshore support, marine seismic operations.
The combination of the parent company`s history and experience with the marine
operation of offshore quality vessels and Technocean`s expertise within ROV intervention
and subsea marine operations provides a solid platform for the delivery of services
in the subsea value chain.
In February 2008 Technocean acquired the dredging specialist company ScanMudring AS whose core competence is technically complex seabed soil excavation. Operations
are carried out in deep water, difficult conditions and in areas with restricted
access. These specialty operations are highly complementary to Technocean’s activities
thus enabling a broader platform of services. |
